I’m a retired clinical psychologist and I have dealt with this exact issue scores of times. I’m almost 80 years old, and I am still helping friends who are in relationships with abusive men. I am going to print off your article to give to my women friends who are in these kinds of toxic relationships. One thing you illude to, but don’t come right out and say point blank is, CONTROL IS NOT LOVE. MANIPULATION IS NOT LOVE. LOVE BOMBING IS NOT LOVE. You do say it, but subtly. That’s not a criticism. Your article is the BEST I have ever read. Thank you, for your research and your great understanding and passing it on in such a thorough and thoughtful writing. And by the way, Carl Jung is the BEST.
